Sugarcubes is a vintage-inspired quilt pattern designed to play with colour and volume. Start with a light background, then choose a range of fat quarters paired by colours of different value, and voila!

Skill level

This is a traditional patchwork pattern, with straight line sewing and lots of opportunity for chain piecing. I'm calling it Intermediate because it incorporates 4-at-a-time HSTs, which can be tricky at first, but this is a great way to get some practice. If you can sew HSTs you can sew this quilt!
